The 2021 NFL draft was a huge success from every team.

As usual, the draft is significant as the teams picks could result in the change of their franchise for years to come.

This draft class however will most certainly be the most impactful in recent years.

The number one pick in the draft Trevor Lawrence quarterback out of Clemson University was set in stone just 5 months before the draft had even taken place.

Lawrence had been praised for his collegiate career and is seen as the best college prospect since Tim Tebow.

Lawrence was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars and is set to be their key to turning the franchise around.

Quarterbacks are always a hot commodity every draft and this year 3 of them were taken in a row as Zach Wilson and Trey Lance were taken by the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers in that order.

Trades were what really shook up the draft and really affected many fan/analyst mock drafts.

The Chicago Bears were the biggest beneficiaries of trading as they were able to move up from their original spot at 20 to 11 and take Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields which was a position they were looking to improve on since moving from former quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Quarterbacks are not the only position that is key to improving a franchise as wide receivers and offensive lineman were also evaluated intensely leading up to the draft.

Wide receivers and offensive lineman build the foundation for the quarterbacks already on the team seeing as quarterbacks thrive from being able to have as much time to throw to their targets as possible.

Linemen were taken at a high rate in the first round as 5 offensive lineman were taken off of the board.

The biggest winners of the draft have to be the Cleveland Browns. They built upon the defense that took them to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship this past season.

The Browns picked defensive back Greg Newsome II and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah while also taking Anthony Schwartz who is a wide receiver out of Auburn who has electric speed.

They are in the running to be a true powerhouse in the AFC.

All the teams took big leaps forward and will be ready to mold the drafted talent to help their franchises excel.
