15 Quarantine Objects
Just some of the many sports cards I have in my collection. Around month two of quarantine, I spent most of my time from then till this day collecting cards and opening packs. This is a hobby that was picked up during lockdown but, I am hoping they will make me lots of money in the near future.
Sticking with the fashion of collecting, I started collecting r/c cars. This is Brian's skyline gtr from the Fast and the Furious franchise. I also own a smaller version of Dom’s charger and race both with friends.
As you could imagine, T.V. has been apart of a lot of Americans lives in quarantine. Before the shutdown happened, I had the same T.V. for about 4 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. When my first bonus hit, I bought myself a 4k 56" Samsung smart TV.
The PlayStation 5 has been a hot commodity and has been very difficult to get. One day, I woke up with 5 minutes till the release of a Walmart launch and waited till the clock hit 9 a.m. Once it hit 9, I was quick to checkout and was patiently awaiting the shipment. This was funny because I work at Target and even I was not able to secure one their.
During quarantine, I was finally able to obtain my driver’s license. On the way home from getting food, my father and I were passing by my old high school when we spotted this 2008 Honda Civic. For months, I had been saving up for a car and when I had contacted the owner, she let me test drive it and negotiate a price and a week later, the car was mine.
The Weeknd has been my favorite artist for the past 7 years. His recent album After Hours really made my quarantine special. Seeing him evolve to superstardom over the years has been amazing and his music will always put me in a good vibe no matter what is going on.
2020 was a wild year for sports as all of them had to find a way to make it work after the announcement of a global pandemic. In a shortened season through the trials and tribulations of the pandemic, my favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, managed to win the ultimate prize in the sport. They would go on to win the World Series and I had to grab a jersey with the patch on it.
I have owned this speaker for about 4 years now and has been my best friend through long gaming sessions and homework. Music has been a big part of my life and especially through the pandemic. As someone who attended lots of live shows, I frequently listen to live performances from my favorite artists.
The pandemic had shutdown basically everything and I like to explore and look at scenic views while taking pictures. Instead of exploring outside, quarantine helped me expand my taste in T.V. shows and among those, I tried anime. Quarantine gave me a lot of time to sit back and watch lots of anime and went from when should I get around to watching to figuring out which were my favorites.
I have never been a big fan of reading but I was trying a lot of different things so I thought I would try out a book written by my favorite rapper Logic. So far, I have read through 7 chapters and it is a really good read. He is a genius and one of my many inspirations in life.
Shoes have always been on my mind since I have been employed at Target. I have always wanted a pair of Yeezys made by Kanye West and with one of my bonuses, I picked up a pair while shopping on Melrose. I have yet to take photos in them, as I like to do, but when the time is right, the photos will be amazing.
While on the topic of Target, this has been the job that has been helping me purchase all of the items above. I have been a team member for about a year and a half and love it there. We are a super friendly bunch of employees looking to help our community in any of their shopping needs during this pandemic.
Spaghettio’s have definitely been apart of my quarantine. I usually buy a good amount of them and spoil myself once or twice a week to help be eat on a budget. They never failed me as a kid and they won’t fail me now.
This headset is used for both gaming and listening to music at the same time. As mentioned before, music and gaming have gotten me through quarantine the most and this headset has been one of the best items through then. High quality sound makes for good times.
Whether it is attending zoom meetings or shopping. my computer has been with me through it all. I set up meetings for birthdays and tried to make events the best they could be over a screen. This computer is the best tool for just about anything I do in a day.
